Public Consultation: Update to the 2016 Clinical Practice Guidelines and Principles of Care for People with Dementia

 

The update to the 2016 Clinical Practice Guidelines and Principles of Care for People with Dementia has entered the next phase of guideline development, with public consultations running from 11th May to 6th July.

This is a key opportunity for communities, clinicians, researchers, carers, and organisations to review the final guidelines and provide feedback. Your insights, experiences, and reflections will play an important role in strengthening this work.

2026 David Wallace Address: Dr Amelia Crabtree


Planning for the
59th AAG Conference in Melbourne this November is advancing with confirmation that Dr Amelia Crabtree will deliver the 2026 David Wallace Address.

Amelia is a geriatrician and healthcare leader, and currently Director of Medical Services, Continuing Care at Epworth. Her work is focused on improving care for older people through integrated, research-active and technology-ready health systems. Across clinical leadership, service redesign, patient safety and quality improvement, Amelia has built a career at the intersection of patient experience, workforce culture and system performance.
