Save the date: Inaugural NATSIAACC Conference

3rd to 4th November 2026

Ngunnawal Country, Canberra, ACT

The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ageing and Aged Care Council (NATSIAACC) is proud to announce its inaugural national conference.

NATSIAACC works to ensure Elders and Older People can access support and care that is culturally safe, trauma aware and healing-informed, recognising the importance of their personal connections to community and Country/Island Home.

Mark your calendars and don’t miss the chance to be a part of history as we shape the future for Aged Care for our Elders and Older People. The conference will be a gathering that honours lived experience, strengthens community voice, and drives meaningful change in aged care.

More information, including venue and conference theme, to be announced soon. For immediate inquiries, reach out via email, LinkedIn, or Facebook.

This event is supported by AAG and AAG’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ageing Advisory Group (ATSIAAG) as proud members of NATSIAACC.

Connect with the AAG New South Wales Division

The AAG New South Wales Division (AAG NSWDIV) is an active and committed group of gerontological researchers, practitioners, and influencers. The dedicated Executive Committee represents AAG in NSW policy forums and meets bi-monthly to plan an inspiring and topical calendar of events.

With chapters in Hunter and Illawarra, the Division delivers targeted online and in-person events throughout NSW, including Sydney, Newcastle, and Wollongong, showcasing ageing and aged care experts, current research findings, and practice innovation. An annual two-day Rural Conference rotates around the state, connecting city and country communities, sharing research and resources.

There’s never been a better time to join the AAG NSWDIV, with a fantastic year of networking, connection and social opportunities planned for the year ahead.

We thank Dr Joyce Siette, for her time and effort as AAG NSWDIV co-Chair, and welcome Dr Helen English to the role, alongside continuing co-Chair Dr Kim Keily.

We also offer our gratitude to Keryn Curtis, continuing Division Committee Board Representative, and Naomi Folder, Student & Early Career Group (SECG) Representative.
