Bobby Redman Mrs I am a retired psychologist and an active dementia advocate.
My professional history is diverse, as in addition to completing my registered nursing training in 1970, and my psychology registration in 2001, I have also worked in hospitality, finance, sales and marketing.
I am passionate about my advocacy work which started after I was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2016, and work tirelessly to educate people about dementia in order to break down the myths and stigma surrounding the condition. I am involved with several research projects, in co-design and advisory positions; sit on numerous health and dementia related committees; and have spoken at many community and professional events including national and International Conferences. In my Rotary position of District Chair - Dementia Awareness and Support, I oversee 13 dementia cafes run by Rotary Clubs in their local areas. |
