Steph Garratt

Dr Steph Garratt is a research fellow at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Monash University, and holds a casual academic position at the University of Auckland (New Zealand). She is a health sociologist, whose research interests include healthcare ethics, medication management, workforce support, consumer input into care, person-centred care, gerontology, and care of older adults across different healthcare settings. She completed her Bachelor of Arts with first-class honours in Sociology in 2013, her Master of Public Health with first-class honours in 2015, and her PhD in Health Sciences in 2022. Dr Garratt has expertise in mixed-methods research, qualitative research, and empirical ethics. She is passionate about collaborating with both consumers and care providers to improve service delivery, support best practice, and ensure consumers' voices are heard.
