AAG Vic Ageing Well event

On Friday 3 May 2024, AAG's Victoria Division will host a one-day conference on 'Ageing well: Self-care - Mind and body'.

This in-person event will bring together academics, industry partners and community members to explore what it means to age well.

The program features presentations by leading researchers and practitioners in ageing, physical activity and mindfulness, and includes a lived experience panel discussion, an interactive session on mindfulness, a self-care success panel and a body-mapping workshop.

This event is a terrific opportunity to come together with others who share your interest in understanding and managing the factors that influence the individual experience of ageing.

Details are on the AAG website.

Rural health forum

Coming up on 15 May 2024 is a free one-day virtual forum on Rural Innovations Changing Healthcare (RICH).

Hosted by the NSW Government's Agency for Clinical Innovation, RICH 2024 aims to link rural health service providers, consumers and other rural sectors by sharing experiences and showcasing innovative, rural models of care which have potential for broader implementation.

Details and abstract guidelines are available on the forum website. Abstract submissions close on 11 March 2024.

And if this is your area of interest, be sure to engage with AAG's Regional, Rural and Remote AAG Special Interest Group (RRRSIG). RRRSIG provides a platform for the discussion, development and promotion of regional, rural and remote ageing research and practice in Australasia.
