You said – we did! Welcome to the new AAG Conversations

This initiative is in direct response to feedback calling for greater opportunities to connect research, policy, and practice. Throughout the year, we will explore important ageing and aged care topics, issues and developments through several targeted webinar series.

AAG Conversations kicks off in April with Episode 1 in the first series: Research to Practice. Designed to bring cutting-edge research directly to health professionals across the aged care sector, Research to Practice will showcase the innovative work of previous AAG Research Trust awardees to demonstrate how evidence-based findings can meaningfully inform everyday practice.

Workplaces for Older Women (WOW) project – your voices needed!

The Workplaces for Older Women (WOW) project seeks to address age discrimination faced by older women at work and includes marginalised groups who experience additional discrimination beyond ageism.

The initiative aims to empower older women by helping them recognise and strengthen their skills, raise awareness about gender and age inequalities, and promote strategies for equality.

Led by Celebrate Ageing Ltd and supported by the Victorian Government’s Department of Families, Fairness and Housing through their Gender Equality Action Plan, the project invites older women and workplaces to share their experiences concerning ageism in the workplace.

Participants are encouraged to complete a confidential survey or interview to provide insights into effective and ineffective approaches. See the project website for further information and to access survey links for both older women and workplaces.

AAG proudly supports Dr Catherine Barrett, CEO of Celebrate Ageing and long-time AAG member, contributor and supporter, and the entire WOW project team.
