National Carers Week - Sunday 12 to Saturday 18 October 2025
A chance to recognise the essential role carers play in our health and care systems, communities and families. This year's theme, 'You are, know, or will be one,' emphasises the widespread impact of caring, as it touches nearly everyone at some stage.
The week promotes awareness, celebrates friends and family caregivers, and encourages a more supportive community for those who give care.
Our upcoming national conference co-Chair, Judy Ratajec, is a psychogeriatric nurse and Northern Territory (NT) Clinical Lead - Aged Care with over 25 years’ experience dedicated to improving the lives of older Territorians.
Judy has played a key role in the Aged Care Royal Commission and the implementation of the aged care reforms, integrated service models, and dementia initiatives across the NT, and has led programs with Dementia Australia championing services for younger onset dementia and the development of Indigenous-specific dementia resources. Importantly, Judy is always striving to raise awareness, build responsive services, and promote brain health.
With our national conference in Mparntwe / Alice Springs just one month away, there’s still time to register and take advantage of special flight discounts from our exclusive airline partner, Qantas.
