Announcing the #AAGConf25 David Wallace Address

Planning for the 58th AAG Conference in Mparntwe / Alice Springs this November is advancing with confirmation that A/Professor Rachel Winterton will deliver the 2025 David Wallace Address

Many AAG members and partners know Rachel as a nationally recognised and deserving recipient of this honour. Rachel is the inaugural convenor of AAG’s Regional, Rural, and Remote Special Interest Group (RRRSIG), which was developed to draw upon the expertise of ageing and aged care researchers, service providers, and practitioners making a difference in regional settings.

We look forward to Rachel’s insights on quality and impactful services in regional and remote communities.

For more conference information, to view the program, and to learn about our exciting lineup of speakers and guests, head to the 58th AAG Conference website.

AAG NSW SECG Presents: Building your team for an ECR Grant (online speed dating event!)

Tuesday, 14th October 2025
1:00pm to 2:00pm AEDT
online via Zoom

AAG’s NSW Student and Early Career Group (AAG NSW SECG) invites you to attend a one-hour online event designed to provide a space for students and ECRs to connect over common research interests/methodologies.

After an insightful talk by Mouna Sawan, 2022 MRFF Early to Mid-Career researcher grant recipient from The University of Sydney, we'll use break-out rooms to network with other students and ECRs, practice our research elevator pitches, and join a large group discussion with a Q&A session.

Each registrant will be asked to complete a short survey prior to the event.
Facilitated by AAG member, Dr Gabrielle Picard, the event is free for AAG NSW SECG members (current AAG members in the Student or ECR categories).

Access to the recording in our video library will be restricted to AAG members or webinar registrants.
