AAG Inaugural Annual Impact Report 2024-2025

Ever wondered what AAG’s impact is on an annual basis? We’re thrilled to provide our first ever Annual Impact Report for the 2024-2025 financial year.

Not only did 2024 mark an important milestone in AAG’s history as we celebrated 60 years of service to our members, our stats for 2024-2025 are strongly reflective of our ongoing impact, multidisciplinary nature, team expertise, and judicious use of resources.

This inaugural report is offered in gratitude to our members, sponsors, partners, and donors whose generous support continues to raise the profile of ageing, share and promote evidence-based knowledge, and encourage multiple perspectives to inform ageing research, policy, and practice. We couldn’t do what we do without you!

Read and share the full report now. We’d love to hear your feedback, too! Send to [email protected].

AIHW and University of Canberra: Living with Dementia Survey

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW), together with the University of Canberra, is running the first national Living with Dementia Survey. The survey aims to gather information on the experiences of people who have been diagnosed with dementia, and family and friends providing care and support in the community, as well as interactions with health, aged care, and other service or support providers.

The assistance of AAG members is particularly sought to help recruit people with rare types of dementia, young onset dementia, LGBTIQA+ people, people in rural and regional areas, people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and people living alone with dementia.

People with dementia can participate in the survey either online or via an interview, with the help of a support person. The first 1750 participants aged 18 or older who complete the survey before 3rd November 2025 will receive a $40 gift card.

Consent forms are now available online, or by going to www.dementiasurvey.com.au. The consent form can also be completed over the phone by calling 1800 964 333 (Mon-Fri, 9:00am to 4:00pm).
