You said, we did!

At AAG, we're always open to feedback that helps us understand what we're doing well and how we can improve. Since 2023, we have been turning your valuable feedback into tangible results!

  • In March 2025, we launched our official statement regarding ageist language to encourage our members, event participants, speakers, and presenters to be aware of non-inclusive language. Respectful communication is key to building rapport and trust. It also enhances the credibility of your research, practice, and personal relationships as it clearly shows that you value, hear, see, and respect the older person.
  • Following the highly successful Ageism Awareness Day 2024 - End Ageism in Advertising webinar and post-event feedback, a new AAG special interest group was established. The Challenging Ageism SIG (CHALAGEISMSIG) promotes and facilitates discussion and collaboration among AAG members who are interested in raising awareness and challenging ageism.
  • In response to feedback from members of the AAG Research Trust Grants Committee, we have made several enhancements to the way we receive and review grant applications in 2025, including a new online application management platform, improved scoring tools to support scoring consistency, and updates to our mentoring agreement to better support the professional development of Committee members.

To read more about how we are using your feedback in support of continuous quality improvements, check out the You said, We did page on the AAG website. If you have a comment, feedback, or issue you would like to discuss, contact us at [email protected].
