Spotlight on AAG Victorian Student and Early Career Group

The Victorian Student and Early Career Group (VIC SECG) is AAG Vic Division’s dedicated hub for collaboration, growth and knowledge sharing! Vic SECG’s mission is to empower and support the next wave of Victorian gerontology professionals.

The group’s popular monthly webinar series continues on the second Wednesday of each month from 12:00 to 12:30pm AEST/AEDT. These 30-minute sessions feature AAG student and early career professionals sharing their research, innovative methodologies and real-world experiences. Showcasing a stellar lineup for the remainder of the year, all AAG members from across Australia are welcome to attend and engage in these insightful discussions.

Looking ahead, VIC SECG will bring back the highly anticipated Rapid Fire Presentation event. This dynamic platform allows postgraduate students and early career researchers to showcase their brilliance in a concise 3 to 6 minute format, with awards up for grabs! More details coming soon.

Students and early career professionals based in Victoria are encouraged to get involved—whether by attending a webinar, preparing for the Rapid Fire event, or connecting with fellow members. Find out more by contacting VIC SECG Division representative, Dr Yaping Zhong at [email protected].
