AAG Research Trust grant announcement - 2024 RM Gibson Program
The RM Gibson Program fund was set up to honour the memory of Dr Richard (Dick) Maxwell Gibson who played a foundation role in the development of gerontology within Australia. Dr Gibson also made a significant contribution to the AAG, including serving as our National President and the inaugural Chair of the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics Asia Oceania Region.
AAG and the AAG Research Trust are pleased to announce the successful applications for the 2024 RM Gibson Program. The Awardees are:
Co-designing a pet robot to support people living with dementia
Dr Wei Qi Koh, Lecturer in Occupational therapy, The University of Queensland
Optimising antihypertensive treatment in older Australians with and without dementia in residential care homes
Dr Daria Gutteridge, Research Fellow, University of South Australia
The Experience of Living and Working in Small-scale Residential Dementia Care
Ms Robyn Lewis, PhD Candidate, University of Canberra
The below grant has been awarded through the AAG’s valued partnership with the Dementia Australia Research Foundation (DARF):
Principles for optimising medicines management in older people living with frailty and dementia
Ms Shin Liau, Research Fellow and PhD candidate, Monash University
