AAG was deeply saddened to hear the loss of Prof Nancy Low Choy who passed away on Saturday, 9 April 2022 at her home in St Lucia, Brisbane surrounded by her family. Prof Choy played an active role in the QLD AAG Division Committee and was the QLD Division Chair (2014-2016). Nancy was a Professor of Physiotherapy (Aged & Neurological Rehabilitation) at Australian Catholic University and one of the early proponents of dispelling the myth that physiotherapy is a very narrow, niche vocation where you mainly work with elite athletes and sporting teams – and that Physiotherapists aim to improve the mobility and quality of life of all.

Our condolences to Professor Choy’s family. Nancy’s family has asked that, in lieu of floral tributes, donations be made in Nancy’s memory to assist Cancer Council Queensland, one of her favourite charities (please see their web site).
