Aligned with the 2025 theme “Ageing at the Centre," the President’s Symposium will celebrate the vital role nurses play in the ageing and aged care landscape, often at the core of multidisciplinary teams caring for older Australians.
Professor Kasia Bail, a dedicated Professor of Nursing at the University of Canberra, will join a stellar line-up of speakers for the symposium, facilitated by AAG President, Anita Westera and including NT Health’s Judy Ratejec, Mary Ingrames, and Dr Michael Lowe.
Focusing on enhancing healthcare for older people with complex needs, Kasia’s research covers dementia care, nurse-sensitive outcomes, prognosis communication, and digital health systems. With a blend of clinical practice and academic insight, she remains actively involved in hospital settings while also contributing to policy and education. Kasia is passionate about advancing nursing scholarship and education, generously sharing her expertise with students, industry professionals, and various professional groups.
