2015 Glenda Powell Travelling Fellow

The Glenda Powell National Travelling Fellow is selected by the Board. The selected individual presents on the AAG Hot topic for the year and visit those three divisions not visited by the Gary Andrews Fellow prior to the Conference.

Professor Elizabeth Beattie PhD, RN, FGSA

Professor of Aged and Dementia Care, Director of the Dementia Collaborative Research Centre: Carers and Consumers and Director of the Queensland Dementia Training Study Centre in the School of Nursing at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

Elizabeth has a strong background in mental health and geriatric nursing with extensive experience in clinical practice, teaching and research developed in Australia, the UK and the US. Her primary research interests lie in the area of prevention of negative functional outcomes of behavioural issues in dementia, and in carer support, stigma, quality of life and decisional capacity
