2025 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander grant recipient

AAAG and the AAG Research Trust congratulates Caleb Rivers, 2025 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander grant program awardee.

 

 

Caleb Rivers is a Gooniyandi, Kija, Wongi, and Yamatji Aboriginal man whose families originate from the east Kimberley and northern Goldfields regions of Western Australia. Caleb is passionate about doing research to improve the well-being of older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and is studying for a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Western Australia. Caleb’s research explores how Elders can be supported to have a good quality of life as they age. More broadly, Caleb is interested in the ways that research can empower people and deliver positive, lasting change for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities alike.
