Dr Noel Collins
Director of Older Adult Mental Health
Western Australia Country Health Service


Dr Noel Collins is an older adult psychiatrist who has extensive experience providing specialist care to older people who live in residential aged care facilities. Dr Collins has a lived understanding of the current challenges, and potential solutions, in providing safer systems of mental health care for older Australians with a particular focus on rural and remote settings. Dr Collins’s academic work has focused on later life depression and dementia care.

 

 


Aloha Sison
Nurse Practitioner
Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand


Aloha Sison, originally from the Philippines, has over 10 years of nursing experience. Since arriving in New Zealand in 2014, she’s worked in various clinical settings including Orthopedics, age-related residential care and found a passion for gerontology. She’s held quality improvement and clinical leadership roles. Currently a Nurse Practitioner for Te Whatu Ora, Aloha collaborates with the ARRC sector to address patient-specific challenges and sector issues. She continues to strengthen partnerships and integrate holistic approaches to achieve compassionate, coordinated care.

Professor Christine Stirling is Head of School of the School of Nursing University of Tasmania. Christine has a strong commitment to the Aged Care Theme for the school and helped establish the Transforming Research in Ageing group. She has contributed significantly to improving health services for older Australians by increasing knowledge and generating impact in the social science nursing fields of workforce, care of older people and citizen participation, care experience.

Christine was AAG National President from 2017 - 2020
