The Australian Association of Gerontology WA Division invites you to learn
about intergenerational practice with Gary Andrews International Fellow
Professor Shannon Jarrott from Ohio State University
 


This presentation will emphasize specific practices that intergenerational activity leaders can use to increase positive experiences for young and older participants. A brief review of theory and research informing these practices will be included. Workshop attendees will learn about a complimentary evaluation resource.

Professor Shannon Jarrott
Ohio State University

Shannon Jarrott, Ph.D. is a professor of social work at The Ohio State University. She specializes in community-based services, emphasizing shared programming for youth and older persons. Her research of implementation and outcomes of evidence-based intergenerational practice with diverse participants reflects a community-based participatory approach. Shannon is Behavioural and Social Sciences chair for the Gerontological Society of America and Editor of The Journal of Intergenerational Relationships. more
